Ceremonial Chicken |

After completing my latest mosaic Bones & Gongs, I looked through my photos of this place, which flashed through my mind repeatedly while creating it. I was both freaked out & amused to read what I had written on the back of this photo:
“Tarason killing a chicken for gong ceremony. Pig waiting his turn. Siberut.”
I had completely forgotten about the ceremony & that it was specifically for a new gong!
Very interesting how our subconscious operates.
